Jack

Jack was dumped in a cemetery in terrible health. We suspect based on his condition that he was used as a bait dog. 🙁 He had to have surgery to fix an old hernia and needed lots of TLC to get healthy and strong again and learn to trust humans and other dogs. He has come a long ways since he was rescued in April. He is a sweet boy and would make a great dog for a family or a retired person/couple. He loves to lay on the couch. He would do good as an only dog or with other dogs. He has mastered his potty training and knows how to use a doggy door and stairs. He scratches his paw on the door when he is ready to come back in from outside. He is laid back and not an active dog. We call him Black Jack, and when he hears his name, he will wag his tail and come running for some head scratches.
