We are Danny & Jamie Williams, the founders, and people behind Fureverwood Rescue.

Fureverwood Rescue is a passion project and journey of ours that started when we purchased a small farm in Oakwood, TX in 2015. It did not take long for us to learn that the animal welfare situation in East Texas is in dire need of change, and shortly after settling in we found ourselves welcoming various abandoned and abused animals on our property – which has now become a sanctuary to goats, ducks, geese, and chickens.

In 2021, after years of rescuing animals privately, we decided to make things official and became a Non-Profit 501(c)3 charitable organization serving the tri-county (Anderson, Freestone, Leon) Area.

Today, we operate as a full-time dog rescue that strives to connect humans with their furry best friends. Additionally, we work tirelessly to inform and educate our neighbors about the importance of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and approaching animals with compassion.

We envision a community where animal neglect and abandonment are a thing of the past, where our neighbors are well-informed of animal rights and educated on the benefits of spaying/neutering, and where every dog has a home.

While our ambitions are big, so are our hearts.
